Objectives

The course aims to accompany students to the knowledge of the methods of implementation of the project of architecture through the study of the principles of the art of building. Develop knowledge of construction techniques of masonry and, in part, woodworking and reinforced concrete technology.
We will explain the various configurations of the elements necessary to "support, cover, close, divide and equip the architectural space" in relation to the choice of materials and technologies and their static behavior and energy.
In particular, the work will be focused on the analysis of the construction methods and the identification of key points, solutions and alternatives design in relation to the performance requirements, regulations, procedural.

Teaching Methods

The Architectural technology course will be mainly developed through online lessons accessible online on Adobe Connect and will be recorded. The workshop practical exercise will consist in the engineerisation of the project developed during the 1st semester course of architectural composition and will take place in presence, compatibly with the rules that will be in force at the time of the course

Verification of learning

On line oral test in two phases:
1) Presentation and discussion of the technology project developed during the workshop.
2) Oral exam to test knowledge of the course topics and bibliography.
