Objectives

The main objective of the integrated course (modules A and B) consists in the development of the student's understanding of the principal themes of urban technique and planning, through a strong multidisciplinary approach
The course concerns Sustainable Planning and GeoDesign dealing with principles, methods and application of Geodesign methods including development of representation models, process and evaluation models of environmental and urban systems, design, impact assessment and decision-support in planning. Emphasis is given to the use of geo-information technology at all stages of the planning process, in the light of theoretical and normative planning principles and models for sustainable development.

The Module B aims to provide basic knowledge and methodological and operational tools in preparation for the urban planning. It will be studied in working groups. The subject is developed with particular attention to a local plan and the relationship between the technical design and urban planning

Prerequisites

In order to proficiently attend the Course non specific background is required
