Professional status
Chemists conduct research, tests, experiments, and qualitative and quantitative analysis on various natural or synthetic substances, they identify the composition and chemical and energy changes, identify and apply methods of inquiry, formulate theories and laws on the basis of the observations, improve the substances and synthesize new ones, increase scientific knowledge on the subject, and use that knowledge transferring to industry, medicine, pharmacology, or to other sectors of production. When required, the profession is regulated by the State laws.
