Teaching Methods

Traditional classroom lessons with the teacher and some language practice with tutors.

Verification of learning

The final exam will be written. It shall consist of four parts:

(1) Listening. Two exercises with 5 questions each (MC or T/F). The candidates will have to listen to two recordings (one for each exercise) and then answer the questions. 20 marks (2 marks for each correct answer).

(2) Reading. An exercises with 10 questions (MC or T/F). The candidates will have to read a given text and then answer the questions. 20 marks (2 marks for each correct answer).

(3) Use of English. 24 MC questions. 24 marks (1 mark for each correct answer).

(4) Writing. Students will have to write a brief composition of about 50-60 words. 16 marks.

The passing score is 48/80.

Candidates are required to bring their ID card and a pen to the examination venue.

More Information

Internantional certificates and CLA certificates may be used to get the 3 credits without taking the exam. You will have to bring in the certificate during office hours.
