This course aims to provide the students with a grounding in the basic grammatical structures of Arabic in order to communicate at a basic level.
The course is an introduction to the study of Modern Standard Arabic, which is the official language of twenty-two States from Morocco to Iraq and is currently used in oral and written communication, primarily in official and inter-Arab contexts.The level of Arabic to be reached at the end of the course is A1 of the CEFR.
No previous knowledge of the Arabic language is required
Elements of Arabic Sociolinguistics and Geography. Orthography. The Article. Gender. Declension of Nouns. Plurals. The Genitive. Personal Pronouns. Demonstrative Pronouns. Adjectives. Relative Sentences. The Verb (Perfect and Imperfect. The Subjunctive. The Jussive. The Imperative. The Verbe "kana"). The Cardinal Numbers. The Ordinal Numbers. Derived Forms of the Triliteral Verb.
- Frontal instruction with the teacher (20h);
