Verification of learning

Assessing and evaluating methods and criteria for final marking:

Written and oral exam.
- The written part comprises structural exercises, a composition, questions regarding topics addressed during the course testing students’ descriptive and argumentative skills and their ability to use appropriate terminology.
Should students pass the written exam, they can take the oral part (during the same examination session or in the following one). Students who do not take the oral part have to repeat the written part.
- The oral exam will be discussed in Spanish and is divided into two parts: the first one will test students’ ability to have a conversation starting from a given text and to use appropriate terminology; the second one will test students on the topics addressed in the Linguistics module and on their ability to make judgments.

The test score, is awarded by a mark expressed out of 30. In order to gain access to the oral exam (lecturing + linguistic) the student will have to pass the written test with a minimum score of 18/30. In order to pass the whole exam, it is necessary to achieve at least the sufficiency (18/30) in the written test and in the two oral tests.
In order to achieve the maximum score of 30/30 cum laude the student will have to prove an excellent knowledge of all the topics of the program.
