- Source language / target language: an analysis;

Contents

This course aims at developing a multidisciplinary approach to interpreting by studying the link between language and culture, providing basic skills in different fields (business, culture, tourism, health etc.).
The programme focuses on linguistic and cultural features and provides the opportunity of simulating real-life working environments while tackling intercultural and cross-cultural issues.

Teaching Methods

Simulation of real-life working situations by means of:
- Background research;
- Drawing up of glossaries;
- Language analysis;
- Rephrasing;
- Memorization techniques and strategies;
- Non-verbal language.

Verification of learning

Role-play (dialogue or interview)
Sight translation (optional)
