Course Curriculum CFU Length(h)


Students at the end of the course will have:
- adequate knowledge and linguistic-communicative competence (level B2 / C1 of QCR) and metalinguistic of the Spanish language, both oral and written;
- solid knowledge of Spanish culture and languages for specific purposes, with particular attention to juvenile slang.
- strong linguistic knowledge and high understanding and analysis skills of the Spanish language.

Students should also be able to:
- analyze a text by grasping the main features in order to place it appropriately into the specialized system to which it belongs;
- establish links and comparisons between two or more texts that have some homogeneity (content, gender, etc.);
- adapt linguistic productions in relation to the medium and the communication situation: oral speech, written texts, widespread speeches through multimedia, etc.
- to carry out analysis and synthesis of linguistic issues, especially in the field of interlinguistic contact.


- Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, SPANISH.
- Level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (ITALIAN) for foreign students.


The course (9 CFUs) is divided into 110 hours as follows:
-20 hours of frontal lessons with the teacher (module of Spanish language);
-90 hours of exercises with the linguistic expert (lecteurship)


-Textual linguistics, speech analysis and conversation analysis.
- Error analysis.

Grammatical contents:
Morfología verbal modo Indicativo y Subjuntivo.
La subordinación: Oraciones subordinadas sustantivas, temporales, condicionales, relativas, finales, modales, adverbiales y concesivas.
Conectores: temporales, modales, causales, finales, adverbios y locuciones adverbiales.
Contraste entre indicativo y subjuntivo (correlación de tiempos).
Verbos con doble significado (indicativo /subjuntivo).
Verbos y expresiones que transmiten reacción, voluntad, sentimiento, deseo, ruego, prohibición, mandato, consejo, percepción, certeza.
El imperativo. Estructuras para dar órdenes. Leísmo, loísmo y laísmo.
Estructuras atenuadoras e intensificadoras.
Oraciones comparativas y expresiones de comparación.
Usos de los verbos ser y estar: contraste, uso con preposición, estructuras enfáticas, expresiones idiomáticas, voz pasiva.
Estilo indirecto y discurso referido.

- Estructuras y funciones lingüísticas:
Expresar voluntad, deseo, prohibición, mandato o ruego. Influir sobre los demás, persuadir.
Expresar consecuencia y finalidad.
Expresar deseo, extrañeza y gratitud.
Dar una opinión, argumentar, expresar acuerdo o desacuerdo.
Pedir y dar consejo.
Narrar una historia. Narrar y describir en el pasado. Evocar recuerdos.
Reproducir una conversación; transmitir y resumir información.
Expresar hipótesis.
Expresar condición.
Hacer juicios de valor. Juzgar. Valorar.
Definir y describir; identificar lugares y personas.
Hacer comparaciones. Enfatizar.
Aclarar, matizar una opinión. Contrastar opiniones.

Teaching Methods

THEORETICAL PART: 20 hours of frontal lessons with the teacher.
PRACTICAL PART: 90 hours of practical with the language expert.

Verification of learning

Written and oral test
-The written test provides structural exercises, text production, questions about the contents of the lessons in order to verify descriptive, argumentative abilities, and the use of appropriate terminology in Spanish language.
After completing the written test the student will pass to the oral exam (which will have to be taken in the same exam session or at most in the next). Anyone who does not take the oral examination will have to repeat the entire exam.
- The oral test provides two interviews in Spanish: one based on a text presented during the examination, with the aim of verifying expressive mastery using appropriate terminology; the other with the aim of verifying the contents of the theoretical part of linguistics and the critical processing capacity of concepts.
