Course Curriculum CFU Length(h)
[30/46]  PRIMARY TEACHER EDUCATION [46/00 - Ord. 2011]  PERCORSO COMUNE 9 70

The course aims to introduce into a critical consideration about the essence and value of education in the light of the modern and ancient philosophical thought. Therefore, it aims to help students understand the Pedagogy as an open and non-definitive knowledge, characterised by an original structure which is not due to other sciences. It is crucial to understand that Pedagogy can address and appraise any value.

The course will focus on the different fields of knowledge that address the relationships and communications across the educational process, as well as the objectives in education and the pedagogical epistemology. All these issues demand for a clarification about the connections between Gnoseology and Pedagogy, Metaphysics and Pedagogy, Anthropology and Pedagogy.

The workshop aims to exemplify some of the key theoretical and practical pedagogical principles: features and origins of the current educational challenge, knowledge and boundaries of Nihilism within Western culture, right and duty to educate, the link between philosophical anthropology and education purpose, the strain between authority and freedom. In addition, the workshop will stress the relevance of the issues mentioned above in the educational and teaching life of the school. The workshop will be interactive, focusing on the experience and reflection of the students.
