Contents

The course is aimed to guide the students’ reflection through the historical and epistemological reconstruction of the discipline, as a science that has accompanied the long process of recognition and emancipation of the person with disability. Perusing this course of events, it emerges the value of some important dimensions in the human experience (disability, identity, and health), on which Special Pedagogy has focused his reflection and action, building a deep dialogue with many scientific paradigms.
The possibility to connect these three dimensions in a concrete and coherent comprehension of the human being, in an inclusive perspective, is the incentive to deepen the many aspects that limit the emancipation process of the person with disability.
