The course is intended to explain the main philosophical perspectives on the acquisition of language by children.
Knowledge and Understanding
By the end of the course the principal views on the nature of language and the main patterns of its acquisition will be learned by students.

By the end of the course students will have gained the ability to recognize the main steps children have to make to becoming competent speakers.
By the end of the course students will be able to use the specialized vocabulary in philosophy of
language and besides talk to parents about the linguistic ability of their offspring.
Lifelong learning skills
By mastering the methodological procedures proposed during the course about the nature and
function of language, the students will be able to understand how the new scientific findings are
often an improvement on ancient theoretical patterns.
Neither preliminary educational requirements nor historical and philosophical knowledge are
necessary to attend the course. All philosophical problems will be discussed (covered) during the lessons. However,if the students would like to familiarize themselves with some foundation principles in philosophy, they could attend a preparation course on the comprehension of the text and history of philosophy delivered on line by the university.
The course will be organized in two main branches: on one hand, we are to face with the principal point of views about the patterns on the acquisitions of language by children, it will take about 45 hours of lessons; on the other hand, students will have to study some fundamental views in communication theory.
Lessons will be given via lectures, project work, discussions, presentations, focus groups to actively construct knowledge.
