Teaching Methods

The course consists of a set of pre-formed "packages" of recorded lectures, and a component of interactive learning, which allows students to interact with the teacher or the virtual classroom tutor with written or video mode, using tools such as e-mail, forums and virtual / video conference classroom. The recorded lectures are divided into eight modules, which are further divided into teaching units lasting about 15 minutes each. Each teaching unit is organized functionally to the educational objective and consists of the recording of the teacher's lesson with the support of slides.
The lectures are designed to facilitate the understanding of the subject, by explaining its basic concepts and offering the main methodological tools to assimilate them. The teaching methods aim at fostering learning by presenting the topics in a way that takes their inseparable logical and systematic relationships into account. In order to enable students to achieve an adequate awareness of their level of preparation, periodic self-assessment questionnaires will be handed out during the lectures.

Further teaching activities carried out by the professor and his collaborators, aimed at facilitating the preparation of the exam (weekly reception shifts).

During the weekly reception shifts, the teacher is available to provide clarifications on the topics covered by the program, and to periodically check the progress of the preparation of the students.

Verification of learning

The examination will be oral.
The following assessment criteria will be used to determine the final mark: • Exam failure: insufficient knowledge of the topics covered in the course; • 18 to 21: minimum knowledge of the above-mentioned topics, with some minor gaps ; • 22 to 24: complete, although not particularly in-depth, knowledge of the topics ; • 25 to 27: good level of preparation, characterized by an adequate technical jargon; • 28 to 30: excellent level of preparation; precise and accurate technical jargon and speaking skills ; • 30 with merit: further quality of the preparation is inferred from the brilliance and accuracy shown in the presentation.

It should be noted that total gaps concerning the fundamental topics covered in the course (basics, obligations and contract), will preclude passing the exam, regardless of the knowledge of the remaining topics.

More Information

Attending students are allowed to divide the program into two parts, following the instructions given by the teacher in class. It should be noted that this possibility does not entail any reduction of the overall program and that the final mark will not be the result of a mere mathematical average between the evaluation obtained in relation to the intermediate exam and the one concerning the second part of the program.
