Objectives

APPLICATION EXPERIENCES IN DESIGNING INTERVENTIONS IN SCHOOLS

Master's Degree in Clinical and Community Psychology.
Curriculum B: Community psychology and psychological-social intervention.

The Workshop in "Application experiences in designing interventions in schools" has the following training objectives:

A) Knowledge of the school context and possible projects that can be implemented in the secondary school with preadolescents and adolescents.
B) Ability to apply knowledge in the course of practice activities (in particular design and evaluation activities).
C) Ability to elaborate a project of intervention in the secondary school.
D) Ability to construct the evaluation system of the effectiveness of a project or intervention in the school context.
E) Autonomy of judgment, reflection and communication about the usefulness of projects and interventions to be implemented in the school context.
F) Ability to continually update knowledge through research of specific evidence-based programs available through the Scopus and Web of Science databases.

Contents

The laboratory of "Applied experiences of planning interventions in the school context" aims to promote skills in the design and evaluation of interventions in the school context starting from evidence-based programs and experiences and projects actually implemented in the territory.
The course aims to provide knowledge, skills and techniques related to the design of interventions in secondary school to be implemented with preadolescents and adolescents and aimed at strengthening in school contexts students' life skills and other important social-emotional resources, relational and related to personal skills and study.
During the workshop there will be applied activities aimed at the co-construction of motivating and inclusive learning environments and activities of educational counselling and teacher training to support teachers in their educational functions.

Teaching Methods

Analysis of cases, design and evaluation activities, discussion groups.
Depending on the epidemiological situation that will be configured, the teaching may be delivered in mixed mode (in person or at a distance) according to the rules established by the University.

Verification of learning

The assessment includes the development of an intervention project to be carried out in groups during the laboratory activity.

The student must demonstrate that he/she has reached the pre-established training objectives.

The knowledge and understanding of the topics dealt with during the laboratory is considered fundamental in the evaluation.

At the end of the laboratory, the passing of the laboratory course will be indicated based on attendance and participation in the design activities.

Exams for ERASMUS STUDENTS will be held in the same manner as for other students.

Texts

1) All materials for the exercises will be provided by the instructor during the lab and via slides.
